Family Research Institute Lies About American Soldiers & Sexual Assualt
Extermination of all Gays and Lesbians is the cited goal of Paul Cameron and the Family Research Institute. This is an excellent example of the hate messaging and blatant lies used by christian ministers to sway their congregation in the California Prop 8 battle.
Paul Cameron of the Family Research Institute, a registered hate group listed along side the christian klan and neo-nazi skinheads, once demanded that “all homosexual must be exterminated” and that people living with AIDS needed to be “branded across their forehead as a warning to others”. Paul Cameron lost his license to practice psychology for making up “official studies” that cast a negative light on the Gay and Lesbian community.
Many of these discredited and denounced studies are still quoted by ministers to this day. Cameron is almost completely responsible for the “homosexuals molest children” and “homosexuals recruit children” lies used by christians to justify discrimination and violence against our community.
Paul Cameron appears to be at it again skewing a Department of Defense report to promote bigotry towards Gays and Lesbians. Nowhere in this report, as Cameron claims, does it mention Gays or Lesbians. The report refers to male on male sexual assaults. These are crimes of convenience committed by straight men on other straight men. Just like prison rapes.
Paul Cameron also misrepresents the number of Gay and Lesbian soldiers serving in the American Armed Forces. Most industrialized countries allow their Gay and Lesbian citizens to serve openly in the military with no problems. These counties estimate that between 7 and 10 percent of their armed forces are Gay or Lesbian. Logically these numbers would apply to the United States military as well.

The best estimates put the military at 83% straight men; 14.7% straight women, 1.26% gay, & 0.97% lesbian. So in 2009 a gay was 8 times more apt to assault a serviceman than a serviceman to assault a servicewoman. And a lesbian 30 was times more apt to assault a servicewoman than a straight woman was a serviceman. Making military service easier for those most apt to assault doesn’t demonstrate “common decency” or “common sense”

Those not wearing seat belts are sanctioned because they increase collective medical costs if involved in an accident. How much more so those engaging in the ruinous practice of homosexuality?
