Tax Christian Churches To Pay For Federal Gay & Lesbian Domestic Partner Benefits
In 2008 there were approximately 173 million christians in the United States. The christian church is responsible for the violence being directed towards the Gay and Lesbian community as well as discriminatory “traditional marriage” amendments. It is estimated that offering Gay and Lesbian domestic partner benefits to federal employees will cost the government $63 million a year.
America should pay for these benefits by taxing christian churches $1 per congregant. Excess money from the tax will fund Gay and Lesbian community centers who offer counseling services to Gay and Lesbian teens suffering mental damage from the abuses of the christian church.
The openly homosexual director of the federal government’s Office of Personnel Management (OPM) remains unwilling to explain how he will pay for President Obama’s plan to provide benefits to the same-sex partners of federal employees.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee approved a bill in December that would provide domestic partner benefits to federal employees. The measure, sponsored by Senators Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Joe Lieberman (I-Connecticut), will cost an estimated $63 million a year.
John Berry (Office of Personal Management)At a recent hearing, Senator Collins expressed frustration that OPM director John Berry still had not found ways to cover the added costs within the federal budget. “I don’t want to give you a hard time,” she said during the hearing, “but…it’s been five months and we’re still waiting for those offsets, which…is preventing the bill from being taken up on the Senate floor.”
Berry claimed his team has identified offsets to pay for the domestic partner benefits, but he would not divulge them. “My promise to you would be as soon as the committee is ready to go to the floor, and we have that CBO scoring, we will have an offset to cover the entire cost of the amendment for you so that you can move expeditiously to the floor without any delay,” Berry assured.
The Family Research Council (FRC) believes the OPM director’s plan to pay for the domestic partner benefits is either “unpopular, unethical — or both.” According to FRC, “If the decision [to offer benefits to partners of homosexual employees] doesn’t violate the letter of the law, it certainly violates the spirit” of the Defense of Marriage Act.
The pro-family group recommends OPM scrap the plan entirely — and notes the irony of the proposal. “Homosexual don’t want the government to interfere with their sex lives, but they certainly don’t mind asking us to subsidize them,” says the FRC website.

Christian churches are corporations that receive special benefits and tax breaks as they promote killing Gays and Lesbians. A $1 tax on each congregant will help offset the damage being done by these corporate christian churches.
