God Demands Gays & Lesbians Be Put To Death – But Still Loves Them
Here is an editorial published in response to the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina not offering family memberships to non-traditional families. My partner and I joined the YMCA in Denver, Colorado 12 years ago and received the family membership this just shows how backward and bigoted North Carolina’s attitude really is towards Gays and Lesbians.
I want to encourage Curt Hazelbaker, president and CEO of the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, after reviewing the membership categories of his YMCA, to continue to offer family membership only to traditional families.
It is time for us, Bible believing, traditional men and women, to draw a line and state our expectations.
Same-sex couples should not expect to get the same benefits as “normal couples.” They may be a couple in their own eyes, but not in God’s eyes or in the eyes of most traditional people.
God has not changed, man has changed. Homosexuality is wrong. The Bible condemns it; two cities in the old testament were destroyed because of it. God hates sin, but loves the sinner.
Homosexual “couples” should not be allowed to adopt children. Children will copy what they see. How will they explain in school that they have two apparent daddies, but one of them is supposed to be the mommy. If homosexual people want to choose a different lifestyle, at least leave the children out of it.
I have a brother in Germany, who “came out of the closet” a few years ago. I told my mom that I still love Gerhard as my brother, but I cannot accept his lifestyle, because it is wrong.
In Leviticus 20:13 your loving god actually calls for Gays to be put to death. That is not “loving the sinner” that is “killing the sinner”. Gays and Lesbians are born with their sexual orientation and it cannot be changed. You cannot separate the “sin” from the “sinner” it is simply bigotry and homophobia.

Gee, I don’t suppose it dawned on this N.C. fellow that Gay people were once greatly revered and deeply respected by every society and culture on Earth at one time! We were the natural-born Shamans and High Priests of a community, or tribe.
And, what’s with all this talk of “traditional families”? Would they expect the YMCA ban non-monotheists, too? But, speaking of “traditional families”, our family structure is not as “traditional” as they like to claim, but is a wholly recent development about 100 years old or so. They just choose to ignore that historic fact. Especially offensive is when, in my experience, i have told (calmly) the historic and anthropological evidence showing that Gay people were FREE to marry one of their own gender, only to have this wealth of data shot down under their view that, “those don’t COUNT as REAL marriages!” WTF? Why not?
