Study Shows Global Warming Leaves Half The Population Dying of Thirst
An alarming report released today shows that nearly half the worlds population will be without clean drinking water in the near future due to the global warming created by greenhouse gasses.
Almost half of humanity could lose clean water access due to climate change, according to a British report to be released tomorrow ahead of an international climate change conference in Mexico.
“The main message is that the closer we get to a four-degree rise, the harder it will be to deal with the consequences,” Dr. Mark New, a climate expert at Oxford University, told The Observer.
The report will assume that global temperatures will rise 2 degree Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) this century even if nations agree to curb carbon emissions this year.

As the worlds population continues to explode demand for carbon based fuels climbs right along side it. Efforts to reduce the worlds dependence on fossil fuels and curb greenhouse gas emissions have failed miserably. Developing third world countries seeking a better life and greedy oil companies putting profits before sound public policy are the primary reasons behind the failure.
Being a glass half full kinda guy I say let it happen. If half the worlds population dies of thirst, over consumption of fossil fuels stops being a problem. Those of us left behind can continue our gluttonous ways without all that preachy do-good green living crap.
Seriously, if you want to continue driving gas sucking SUV’s and live in hermetically sealed air conditioned comfort then some of us have to go. Personally I would advocate we eliminate about ninety percent…I am already working on the list.
Get yourself a bike and some solar panels then sit back and watch the rest of the world tear itself apart fighting over the dwindling natural resources. It’s fun on so many levels.

TGM, you are on cue, as usual. SUVs, fossil fuels, energy gluttony these are all problems but the centerpiece of all fucking problems is there are too goddam many human beings on this planet. Earth groans as messy selfish humans drive its systems into chaos. I don’t know what makes me gay but I know I decided when I was 14, living in Japan, that I would never bring children into this beautiful but wrecked world! It is one of THE most important decisions I EVER made. With that in mind, I feel I still have more concern than most of the braindead breeders that are intent on destruction, violence & war mongering. Children are the major victims of our sick society.
