What Was Your New Years Resolution
Every year millions of people make a new years resolution to change some aspect of their life. The more common resolutions include get fit, lose weight, quit smoking, manage stress and even save money. I would like to recommend two additional resolutions for every Gay and Lesbian American…buy a gun and store some food.
Buy A Gun – Everyone should have a small easily concealed handgun, shotgun for home defense and a rifle for hunting. Contrary to popular belief buying a gun is a relatively simple task in the United States requiring an I.D. and possibly a small waiting period. Call a local gun shop and they will work you though the process.
Store Some Food – Food is critical for every persons survival. A solid three months supply of food lessens the stress of unemployment and prepares you to weather natural disasters or extreme social unrest. Start storing canned and dry bulk food. Very little cost for huge piece of mind.
We don’t know what 2011 holds for Gay and Lesbian Americans but two things are certain. First, the economy will continue to erode with increased long term unemployment, homelessness and starvation. Second,there will be a violent backlash against the our community for victories we won in 2010.
A hot gym body won’t do you much good standing in a breadline at the local christian relief shelter. Plan ahead to stay safe.
